Process

Transcripts are proofread in American English using the standards learned in the Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice™ course, based on Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters and the National Court Reporters Association guidelines.

The reference materials used include Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation, The Gregg Reference Manual, and Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary.

Rules are important—they ensure consistency within and across transcripts—but your preferences come first. If you’re a new client, please complete the Reporter Preference Sheet and send through a short sample transcript.

For more information, including billing and payment, please see the Rates Page and the Policies and Procedures document.
